ISAR Student Representative Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate student in good academic standing to join the board as an honorary student board member. The selected candidate will actively participate in board meetings, offering valuable insights and representing the interests of the student body. In addition to providing a student perspective, the role will involve assisting with student-related concerns, advocating for student initiatives, and promoting student achievements. This is a voluntary position that offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the student community. This position is separate from the Graduate Technical Assistant position. 

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in board meetings, providing a student perspective on key decisions and discussions.
  • Represent the interests and concerns of the student body, offering feedback and insights on various proposals.
  • Assist with promoting and celebrating student achievements, projects, and events within the community.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Current graduate research student in good standing.
  • Research interests in aeolian processes and landforms.
  • Remain a graduate student for the duration of the position.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Award: 1 year Student ISAR membership.
