Outstanding Graduate Paper Award

The ISAR Outstanding Paper Award recognizes an exceptional research publication based on postgraduate work in aeolian science. The award is intended for individuals who have completed their PhD or MSc within the past two years and are first the author on a paper that represents a significant contribution to the field.

The emphasis of this award is on the quality, originality, and impact of the accepted paper. The paper must be based on PhD or MSc research and accepted for publication at the time of nomination. The nominee must be a graduate or have graduated with a PhD or MSc in the past two years*. Nominee must be first author on the accepted paper.

Submission must include:

  • A draft of the accepted manuscript
  • Letter of acceptance from the journal
  • Nomination letter (maximum 1 page) (The nominator may be a co-author on the paper)
  • Letter of support from a colleague not listed as a co-author on the paper

*Career interruptions should be described in a brief statement submitted with other required document
