Mid-Career Award

The ISAR Mid-Career Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the aeolian science community through their research, mentorship, and professional engagement. Nominees should demonstrate a growing leadership role and a clear record of impact in advancing aeolian science.

Nominees must have been awarded their PhD within the last 20 years, excluding documented career interruptions*. Contributions will be evaluated based on originality, influence, and the nominee’s role in shaping the field. Consideration may include:

  • A strong and growing body of impactful research publications
  • Advancements in understanding aeolian science
  • Active mentorship and support of students and/or early-career scientists
  • Contributions to outreach, interdisciplinary collaboration, or applied research
  • Leadership or service within the aeolian or broader scientific community

*Career interruptions should be described in a brief statement submitted with other required documents.
